Feline guitar virtuosos with an ingenious approach to music: the Hepcats are "musical synergists" – that is, they’ve spent their nine lives (actually, 27 between them!) exploring every kind of music, and they love to weave all of their many influences into a wonderfully fluid sound that’s uniquely their own. Once upon a time, three abandoned kittens turned up (as fate would have it) on the very doorstep of world-renowned rock-instrumental guitarist, Paul Johnson. Upon adopting them, he was astonished to discover that these tabbies had an amazing aptitude for the fretboard. He took them on as his protégés, and now, instead of playing all the guitar parts on his recordings (as has been his habit), he just "produces" and his feline friends do the playing! Their Christmas With The Hepcats CD is one of the most popular items in our catalog; and here, newly remastered for this release, are all their earliest recordings (from 1978).
